Badminton Festival @Canterbury Academy: Tuesday 04/02/25

On Tuesday 4th February, a small group of year 6 children attended a "Badminton Festival" at Canterbury Academy.

The aim of the session was to introduce the children to the sport and to teach them the basics of the game. The afternoon was split into two sessions. The first session comprised of a series of badminton based games that were designed to introduce the skills needed and then to improve them. The games were great fun and set the children up nicely for the second session, which was a series of badminton matches against their friends.

All the children who attended had a wonderful time and an "after school badminton club" has been requested as a result. Watch this space.

As always, a huge thank you to the parents who helped with transport to and from the event and also to the children for their behaviour and enthusiasm.
