Tuesday 12 November 2024 Remembrance Service 2024 We were very proud of the importance that all of the children afforded our visit to the War Memorial at St Andrew's Church today. They walked up to the church impeccably and observed the 2 minutes' silence with the respect that the occasion deserved. Thank you to the children who added further dignity to the visit by playing The Last Post and Reveille and for writing and reading a heartfelt poem to us all. Thank you also to Oak Class for singing Keep the Home Fires Burning, to draw our service to a close.

The children enjoyed parading through Canterbury high street, performing various fanfares on their drums or brass instruments. It was such a wonderful experience for them all, learning about the history of Canterbury as well as sharing their joy of music! Well done to all the children that took part! We look forward to joining the Medieval Pageant again next year!

Wednesday 26 June 2024 Kickback and Read 2024! We were blessed with a fabulous summer's day to sprawl around in the playground this afternoon and enjoy our books in dappled shade along with a summer fruit drink and a lolly....what bliss! The whole school downed the usual tasks of a Wednesday afternoon to remind ourselves how enjoyable it is to open up a book and just read. It was a lovely atmosphere and such a joy to see everyone with their noses in books as they lost themselves in whatever informational or storyworlds their books were offering to them. It's a great tradition that we've been following for some years now at Wickhambreaux CEPS and long may it continue. Keep reading everyone!
