Friday 11 July 2025 Le Tour de Wickhambreaux 2025 Year 6 worked hard to prepare their jerseys for the much-anticipated Tour de Wickhambreaux, which took place on Thursday. The excitement was high as they took part in three fun and energetic races, showcasing teamwork and determination. Year 5 played an important role too, cheering them on enthusiastically and helping with the timing of each event. It was a lively and joyful afternoon, topped off perfectly with more delicious ice creams to celebrate a fantastic end to the day.

Friday 11 July 2025 Vente de glaces par nos ambassadeurs The children practised buying ice cream in their lessons before the real thing on Thursday! The language ambassadors set up ice cream shops and sold ice creams to the whole school — all in French! What fun it was, and a fantastic way to use their language skills in a real-life setting. The day continued with more excitement as everyone celebrated Le Tour de France in the afternoon, making it a memorable day filled with learning, fun, and French culture.

Thursday 10 July 2025 Better Reading Partnership Prize-Giving Celebration We had a wonderful time celebrating the achievements of all the 28 children who had worked so well with becoming even Better Readers over the past year at school. There was tea and cake to enjoy as the children all received a special certificate, a pre-loved book to keep and a party bag with goodies in. It was a lovely chance for our dedicated and specially trained Reading Volunteers to meet the parents and carers of the children they have worked with over the year and also a chance for us at the school to say thank you for all of the time and energy they have given us to support our readers. Our heartfelt thanks go to Mrs Robson, Mrs Mathers, Mrs Lucas, Mrs Harmsworth and Mrs Jones - we couldn't do it without you!
