Canterbury Small Schools Football Tournament @Langton Boys: Tue 18/11
On Tuesday 18th November, our football team took part in the Canterbury Small Schools Football Tournament, playing five matches in total. We drew one and lost four, but the performances across the day were far better than the scores suggest.
Despite the freezing temperatures, the children threw themselves into every game and genuinely enjoyed the whole event, showing brilliant enthusiasm from start to finish. Even when results didn’t go our way, the players never let their heads drop and continued to work incredibly hard.
Their teamwork, sportsmanship and determination were clear to see, and they represented the school superbly throughout the tournament. As always, their work ethic shone, and they supported each other in every match.
A special mention goes to our Star of the Day, Simeon, whose outstanding performances in goal impressed the organisers so much that he was invited to attend a Goalkeepers Academy run by the event hosts.
It was a tough tournament, but the attitude, effort and resilience shown by the whole team made it a day to be proud of.
