Courageous Advocacy

Courageous Advocacy at Our School

Courageous advocacy is about speaking up and taking action to make a positive difference in the world. At our school, we encourage all pupils to notice issues around them, think about how they can help, and take action. Our School Council and Eco Council guide and support these efforts.

Examples of Courageous Advocacy in Action

  • Children noticed humanitarian disasters in the news and organised a cake sale to raise money for the Red Cross.

  • Pupils who have been affected by lymphoma in their families wanted to make a difference and have taken part in charity runs to raise money in memory of loved ones.

  • After seeing food being wasted, children campaigned for a food waste bin in school and introduced a crisp packet recycling bin.

  • Pupils noticed local families in need and collected food donations for charities like Catching Lives.

Through these actions, our pupils show initiative, compassion, and the courage to make real change in their school and community.
