Medieval Pageant Workshop
Griffin Class took part in a costume-making workshop led by Martin from the Canterbury Medieval Pageant Parade. The workshop began with a short illustrated introduction to the medieval city and some of the colourful royal, civic and religious figures associated with it, including surviving evidence of medieval carvings, stained glass windows and illuminated manuscripts at Canterbury Cathedral and elsewhere. The children then made crowns, which they are invited to wear at the pageant on 6th July.
