Winter writing competition
After the success of previous house competitions, including designing a house logo and creating a disco poster, we’re excited to reveal this term’s house competition:
We'd like the children to do a piece of writing about winter.
For Beech Class, we suggest a drawing and some words or a sentence.
For Willow and Chestnut Classes, we suggest an acrostic poem or some descriptive sentences.
For Maple and Oak Classes, we suggest a setting description or a poem (not acrostic).
Each entry will earn 3 house points. There will be a winner for EYFS, KS1 and KS2, each earning 15 additional house points, and an overall winner earning a further 10 house points.
As in previous competitions, all entries will be judged anonymously. The winners will be announced in the last week of term.
We look forward to some wonderful winter writing!
