Sports Leader Training @Canterbury Academy. Tuesday 24/09/24

Report:

by Sophie and Esme.

First, we arrived at Canterbury Academy. We did a warm up with basketballs and were dribbling and intercepting the ball. Next, we started thinking about what makes a good sports leader. The, we wrote the ideas down and shared them with the other schools. After that, each school got to play a team game. We got to play a different version of Volleyball where we had to under-arm throw the ball between our partners legs.

After the practical sports we wrote ideas about what a good leader should do and also shared those ideas with the other schools.

Finally, we made our own game. Ours was a game where you have two teams, there was one ball and two bases marked out by cones). You had to pass the ball around to your team and score a point by getting the ball inside the other team’s Base. Then, it was time to go back to school. We all had a great time and learned some new games to share with the rest of the school.
