Maple Class Gurdwara Visit
Maple Class recently visited the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara in Gravesend as part of their RE learning about Sikhi. The children removed their shoes and covered their heads as a sign of respect before exploring the prayer hall and learning about the Guru Granth Sahib.
During the visit, the children learned about Sikh beliefs, including equality, kindness and selfless service. They also enjoyed tasting langar and prasad. Sharing food together helped the children understand the importance of community in Sikhi.
Maple Class asked thoughtful questions throughout the visit and came away with a deeper understanding of Sikh worship and beliefs.
