Wickhambreaux Celebrates Outstanding Ofsted Report – Again!
We are thrilled to announce that Wickhambreaux CEP School has once again been judged Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in our latest inspection (2025) – the third consecutive time we have achieved this top grading, following previous Outstanding reports in 2008 and 2015.
The report is full of praise for our pupils, staff, and community. Inspectors noted that “pupils’ behaviour in classrooms and around the school is impressive,” and highlighted the warm, inclusive ethos of the school: “They are welcoming to new pupils who join the Wickhambreaux family, sometimes from distant parts of the world.”
High-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum were a strong theme throughout the report. “Talented staff teach using expert subject knowledge,” inspectors wrote, and “pupils’ work across the curriculum is consistently of a high quality.”
We were especially pleased to see the inspectors recognise our commitment to every child’s development – academic, personal and spiritual. “Teachers’ aspirations for what all pupils can achieve, in and out of the classroom, are admirably high,” the report says, while also noting that “pupils feel safe here. This includes feeling safe to make mistakes along the way.”

“This report is a testament to the hard work, passion and commitment of our whole school community – from staff and governors to families and, most importantly, our wonderful pupils. We are incredibly proud to continue providing an education that is ambitious, inclusive and joyful.”
